One mans trash is another mans gold…

So I spent part of my day today cleaning out our garage that has been dirt filled, dusty and chalk full of spider webs and other fun things.

When we first moved into our house the previous tenants left alot of trash here and we had the lucky job of getting rid of it. There were a few things in the garage (that smells like old socks and a dirty grocery store) that never made it to the dump because I didnt feel like making more than one trip. Needless to say and to stop with the jabber. I took some spray paint and painted over an old table that had “JEFF + BROOKLYN” poorly carved in the surface and then took my one of my trusty Molotow markers and doodled on it. It was a fun 5 minutes and we will most likely use it somewhere in the house. Take a gander yourself….

I am working on a few projects right now that I am excited about. My poster from a few posts back has been pushed off for a while to do some other things and to take a break from all the thinking it was making me do.

I also did a design for Chiodos a few weeks agao that I forgot to slap up here. I was pretty rushed with this design but I feel pretty good about the overall outcome considering the time frame I had. I could have done better though, but thats what we all say.

PRINT IT!

This weekend I worked on a project for my friends Dignan from Texas. They wanted a poster to promote themselves at Cornerstone Festival at the end of this month. I hand drew this design with microns, pencil and brush pens. Its over all size is 11×17 but the orignial drawing is 18×12. I had a little help from my partner in crime, who helped me out with the color treatment and some touch up.  Over all I am very satisfied with the way it turned out and I am looking forward to doing more illustration work in the near future.

I think im going to start doing a weekly thing where I post a design that Im really into and one that im not so much into. Just a small attempt to strike conversation and contraversy amongst the new people that visit my blog world.

Enjoy your week friends!

Multitasking

I have been way to busy to make any kind of update and I finally have a chance.

Ive been working on alot of new techniques and messing around with different materials. I bought some new brush pens which I am really liking. Hopefully by the end of this month I will have some big projects done and I will take some pictures to put up.

This is a drawing I did tonight real quick with microns in my sketch pad. Im sure it will get used for something once its finished. I had to take a picture, because my scanner isnt big enough so the quality isnt that great.

Enjoy!
